I'm hoping

that no one saw the original version of that last post...it was only on Blogger, so the chances are slim, but still...and if you did, thank you for not telling anyone that I know. Anyways...spent Tuesday studying and doing nothing. Spent yesterday taking exams and studying. Found out grades in Research Methods...got an A on the exam, an A on the project, and an A for the course. He also told me that he wants Bryan and me to present our project to a conference next semester. Interesting. Dr. Gay (yes, that's his name) brought in his rottweiler to the exam yesterday afternoon. Her name was Gitta, and she was very well behaved, I was impressed. Went over to Matt's that evening, we're trying to eat all of his food since he won't be there over Christmas.
Megan and I had very interesting conversation last night. I think the first question she asked was the most interesting though...but I won't put it in here, for content reasons.
Hmm...so what's happened today? well, at 4:30am, someone pulled the fire alarm, so we were standing out in the cold for a half hour waiting for them to check the building and turn the alarm off. Went back to bed, got up and took my spanish exam, ate breakfast, packed up most of my stuff and put stuff in my car...the rest will have to go in my mom's truck when she gets here. I'm currently at work, as usual, working till 1pm, then I'm going over to Matt's again for the last round of D20. What I'm going to do after this post, I don't know...I've lost a bit of steam regarding my book (as usual), so I probably won't be able to do that...not sure what I'll do. And why am I hungry again?!

ok, here we go

This weekend. Well, let me back up to last Thursday. Game night at Matthew's apartment (hopefully we get to have one as well this week, because we didn't get very far). Megan called me, and she was fairly depressed. Basically, her friends that said they were moving away? they're not, they were just playing a joke on her. Why she wasn't happy, I don't know, but it depressed her. Then I told her that we wouldn't be able to go to Trio Cafe, because I couldn't afford it. She was upset about that because Melissa had shown her the website while she was doing research on restaurants in Fayetteville, and she recognized the name and was really excited that we were going to such a fancy place with a romantic atmosphere. Well, I would have loved to have taken her there, but escargot is out of my wallet range. So, I told her I'd take her to Miyabi Kyoto, a hibachi grill here in town. she was okay with that, though she was somewhat upset that she had upset me, if that makes any sense...it does to me, but going back and reading it doesn't make any sense...anyways...Then there was Friday. Raining, windy, cold. Had my voice jury right after my Lifetime Wellness exam. I think I did well on the former, I startled myself with how I sounded...much better than in practice...but perhaps it was the acoustics of the room. Anywhat, after that, I picked up Megan, and we went home. Messed around for a bit before settling down to watch a movie: the third Harry Potter movie, which I hadn't seen before. Then my mom came home, and we had dinner.

Saturday, we got up, ate breakfast. My mom wasn't home, so we went out shopping. She was looking for a "tree topper" for my mom. We went to Walmart, Target, Hallmark, TJ Maxx and Kmart...didn't find it, of course, until we got to Kmart. I was shopped out, lol. Went home, had lunch with my mom, who was home by then. We went and saw a movie ("The Nativity Story"), went to Tripp's for dinner. Watched Star Wars Episode I when we got home, then eventually went to bed.
Sunday, went to church, or, at least, sunday school, but Megan was so cold when we got to the sanctuary for the main service that I decided we should leave. So, we went and took my car in to get the oil changed. Only took about 30 minutes, thankfully. Had luch with Grandma and Ross, then decided that since it was raining and cold, we wouldn't go to that garden place by FTCC to exchange gifts....we just did it in her room. SO, I gave her 6 roses and the CD with me singing "Music of the Night", and she gave me a story she wrote and a copy of her journal. Those gifts mean so much to me. I hope mine made her happy. They seemed to. We passed some time by reading stuff on my computer, got into a tickle fight, and then laid down and took a very short nap. My mom came in and woke us up. Something kind of strange happened. Megan couldn't remember anything after us reading. She didn't remember tickling me or laying down. Really weird. Anyway, we left for dinner. Miyabi Kyoto, unfortunately, had an hour long wait, so I decided that we would go to Applebee's. Did that, megan was depressed, but didn't know why. I couldn't help her, either. Well, we got back, took a couple of pictures in her lobby, then I came back to my room and studied for the World religions exam. Took that this morning, worked 12-2pm, been hanging out ever since.
